There are so many benefits to performance training, and we want to offer these to your child.
NewChapter Theatre School is focused on quality training, integrity and building long lasting relationships.
This is not just a ‘club’ designed to fill time, it is designed to create fully engaged theatre practitioners, performers and directors of the future.
Theatre and performance training is a necessity for a balanced education, which is why it’s a shame it’s disappearing from our schools.

Why would you want to be involved?
It is tempting to focus on confidence and articulation (which is important and guaranteed within theatre work), but theatre and performance training offers so much more than that –
- an understanding of self,
- personal growth in an integrated and supportive environment,
- the development of focus,
- developing an ability to question and push through your weaknesses,
- learning to support and encourage others – achievements are only truly reached through working as a team; ‘it’s not all about you’!
With all this said, the focus will always be play; though not necessarily childish play (though there is always a place for that) but ‘serious play’, ‘play’ with intent; always searching and questioning. Using exercises and games as a way to develop through play and fun.
The ability to be creative, have fun and develop as a person is not something available to everyone in today’s target driven world; especially within the realms of standard education.
At NewChapter Theatre we believe that development through creativity and play is fundamental. That learning boundaries, respect and support through a team approach is the best way to learn and grow.
We develop and educate, not just fill time.
This is a learning process for everyone involved. We’ll ask and answer questions of dramatic techniques, performer fundamentals, and the development of deep teamwork. It’s at the root of what we do
To focus, play, learn, develop, push and create…that is at the heart of NewChapter and our schools.
